AFPLI - Hofstra University Partnership
Hofstra University Continuing Education, in partnership with the Association of Fundraising Professionals-Long Island Chapter (afpli.org), offers an 80-hour certificate in Not-for-Profit Management in a Changing World. The program is designed for not-for-profit administrators and staff, board members and volunteers, and individuals who may be interested in changing careers. In recent years, not-for-profits have had to dramatically change the way they operate. Scarcity of resources to support not-for-profits, the proliferation of social media and information technology, stricter government oversight, more savvy donors, an increased emphasis on outcomes measurements, and the need to build sustainable organizations have impacted the way not-for-profits do business. Even seasoned not-for-profit professionals who want to remain current in the field will benefit from the courses offered in this certificate program. Courses may also be taken on an individual basis without participating in the certificate program. AFP members receive a tuition discount. For course descriptions, dates and times, please visit ce.hofstra.edu/AFP. AFP members receive a 10% discount on all courses. AFP members must call June Mullan at 516-463-5014 to register by phone.
