November 5 – November Professional Meeting: Successful Gift Conversations
Join us when fundraising thought leader Alex Brovey shares her experience and how-to's so that you can truly excel in your gift conversations with donors. This process involves collecting information, linking donors’ interests to our missions, soliciting gifts, and thanking donors. Success is measured in dollars and happy donors. 1.5 CFRE credits will be offered. Program is online via Zoom: 1:00 - 2:00 PM
Dates: October 14, 21 and 28
Time: 6PM - 8PM
The three day ZOOM course will cover the history of planned gifts, types of gifts that make up the world of planned giving, planned giving sources of information, and setting up and marketing of a Planned Giving Program at various levels. The program is ideal for anyone in, or interested in, the development area within a 501)c)3 organization. You must attend all three, two hour sessions in order to obtain the certificate.
The main instructor is James E. Meyer (Jim), MS Hunter College, MEd Columbia University. Jim has taught Planned Giving at CW Post, Long Island University, Hofstra University, and Molloy College. He has lectured for the AFPLI, the Charitable Estate Planning Council of Long Island, the Nassau CPA Society, The Financial Planning Association, Long Island, the PPGGNY, as well as countless boards and charities.
